North Cove Residence-Beautiful Landscape Design received a 2010 Merit Award By Truex Cullins
Sponsored LinksThis large house has a land large enough for the whole family. The house that was designed for a multi-generational homes for grandparents, their daughter and two grandchildren to provide both public and private open space for both families. Utilizing the land area of 12.3 hectares with a position facing north on the edge of Lake Champlain. Utilizing such a vast land of landscape design is made with natural terrain, sloping east to west, and views of Lake Champlain to be the basis to adjust the volume on the site. Scenery create private areas for each family as well as a general knitted fabric that two households together. Given the climate of this north-west facing niche provides an ideal setting for swimming, taking advantage of the western house and the retaining wall to protect the lake and extend the season winds to swim properly until the autumn. Boardwalk the terrace wall geometry of the lake extending into the lake, creating a sculpture division between wetlands and areas of natural grass.
