The house is situated on the Great Barrier Island, New Zealand, and was designed by Herbst Architects.

This house was designed with a highly energy efficient, because the area is an island without electricity. BUILD LLC was tasked with designing and building a new modern residence that strategically addressed this client’s varied lifestyle of family activities, entertaining, Great Dane exercising, winemaking and kayaking on Murden Cove below. A dwelling house located on a site between the cliffs and dense forest, with beautiful scenery. The house that stands at a height has views over the San Juan Islands in Washington State. Single houses are better known by the name of Davis Residence was designed by Miller | Hull Partnership, LLP. Residential design is made with the main view south down the coastline, and out west to the islands. Surrounded by a shady pine trees, this house is made without destroying the original environment of the green. large overhangs to protect the glass and providing shelter. Design houses are made with a sloping roof shape and length, with the inside of the house including kitchen, entrance and studios with a vertical tower containing the living room and master bedroom above. Rely on timber roof construction with cross beams, diaphragms and plywood sheathing. Design the roof of this house gives an impression of nature and blend with the natural environment of the green. In addition to the roof, wood materials are also used for window glass surrounded by a wide transparent. Transparent glass windows, gives a broad view of the interior, and provide abundant natural light into the interior.
